A short time ago, the General Office of the State Council of China issued the Notice on Constructing the Third Group of Nationwide Business Start-ups and Innovation Demonstration Bases that included XJTU.

XJTU's awarded titles include the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Practice Base, Top-50 Universities with Typical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Experience in China Mainland, one of the First Group Demonstration Universities of In-depth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform, and so on. It also serves as vice-chair for the Nationwide College Student Alliance for Innovation & Entrepreneurship Practice (NCSAP) and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of China. As an executive member organization of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Branch of the China Association of Higher Education, XJTU is also the initiator and chair of the Maker Space Union of Chinese Colleges and Universities.

Ratified by the State Council of China, the construction of Nationwide Business Start-ups and Innovation Demonstration Bases is significant in implementing the Government Work Report, deepening educational and scientific systems reform, and transforming intelligent, scientific, and technological advantages into industrial and economic strengths. These bases will be the top-level, nationwide innovation and entrepreneurship platforms.
