Recently, Gao Jinghuai research team of the XJTU School of Mathematics and Statistics published Machine learning-based seismic spectral attribute analysis to delineate a tight-sand reservoir in the Sulige gas field of central Ordos Basin, western China in the journal Marine and Petroleum Geology. Selected as a key scientific article by Advances in Engineering (AIE), XJTU's Associate Professor Wang Zhiguo is the first author. Professor Gao Jinghuai is the co-corresponding author. Wang Daxing, senior engineer of CNPC Changqing Oil Field Company, and Professor Dengliang Gao of West Virginia University are co-authors.
