November 5-6, 2019, a delegation led by XJTU's Council Chair Zhang Maizeng and President Wang Shuguo, visited Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, and signed an overall strategic cooperation agreement with the Hebei Provincial Government. The two sides agreed to take full advantage of XJTU's scientific and technology development, teaching resources, and people with talent to seize opportunities in Hebei in the course of its rapid social and economic development. This cooperation is expected to make more contributions to accelerate the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Province, as well as to assist in preparation for the Beijing OlympicWinter Games.

On the morning of November 6, XJTU and the Heibei Provincial Government signed the agreement. Both sides agreed to carry out in-depth exchange and cooperation on talent training, enhance collaboration in higher education, strengthen scientific research and results transformation, seek cooperation opportunities in the medicine and health field, and co-establish high-end think-tanks in the future.
