From July 5-6, 2019, the 6th Educational Forum on Modern Residential College System was held at Fudan University, Shanghai. Approximately 380 experts, scholars, and teacher/student representatives of 56 universities from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and the UK attended the forum discussing university education and the modern residential college system. Seventeen members of the XJTU delegation led by XJTU Vice-president Zheng Qinghua also attended the forum.

The theme of this forum was“Education with College System: Inherence, Innovation, and Pursuit of Excellence”. Eight parallel sessions were held on different topics.
