Recently, the cooperative paper of a research team led by professor Xie Yanzhao from XJTU's School of Electrical Engineering and a research team led by professor Farhad Rachidi from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) won the 2018 Richard B. Schultz Best Transactions Paper Award after selection of the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility (IEEE T-EMC), an authoritative journal in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. The research paper is titled A Full-Scale Experimental Validation of Electromagnetic Time Reversal Applied to Locate Disturbances in Overhead Power Distribution Lines. This award bears the name of Richard B. Schultz, tenured fellow in electromagnetic compatibility, aims to recognize the research paper with highest academic value and influence published in IEEE T-EMC annually through two rounds of voting.
