From November 17-18, 2018, the 10th "Future Challenge: Intelligent Vehicle and Beyond" was held in Changshu, Jiangsu province. It represents the highest level and largest scale of driverless competition in China, and has attracted 27 teams from universities, research institutions and enterprises across the country. Finally, 21 teams availed themselves of the opportunity and participated in competition that was full of "speed and passion".

Pioneer, XJTU's unmanned intelligent vehicle, won first place in the total score of the Elevated Expressway Test and Urban and Rural Road Environment Test. The team also took first place in the Technical Award for automated driving of expressway works section, first place in the Technology Award of automatic parking on urban roads and third place in the Technical Award for rural road driving.
