On September 26, 2018, XJTU and the State Grid Corporation of China signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing. Both parties promised to strengthen industry-university-research cooperation, jointly promote technology breakthroughs and realize fast moving development of the electric power technology sector. State Grid president Shu Yinbiao and XJTU president Wang Shuguo attended the meeting, and State Grid vice president Yang Jinbai and XJTU vice president Wang Tiejun signed an agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the strategic cooperation framework agreement, both parties will strengthen cooperation on improving construction of the “Belt and Road” initative, innovative national strategy, talent-cultivation system, and international first-class science and technology supporting system.
