On September 12, 2018, QS, a global leading higher education market company, released the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2019. A total of 34 Chinese universities were placed in the top 500 universities, including 22 universities on the Chinese mainland, 4 universities in Hong Kong, and 8 universities in Taiwan. Among the 22 universities on the Chinese mainland, the rankings of 13 universities have improved, while 2 declined, and the remaining 7 maintained their positions. XJTU has made remarkable progress, rising from 201-250 last year to 181-190 this year, and ranking in the top 10 universities in Mainland China.

The QS Graduate Employ ability Rankings system consists of five indicators: employer reputation (30%), alumni outcomes (25%), partnerships with employers (25%), employer-student connections (10%), and graduate employment rate (10%).
