From September 20^th to September 29^th, 2017, an XJTU delegation led by vice-president Xi Guang visited University of Novi Sad, University of Belgrade in Serbia, University of Szeged in Hungary, Charles University in Prague, and Technical University of Liberec in the Czech Republic. The aims of this trip were to promote cooperation and exchange among universities along the Belt and Road region.

Meanwhile, Vice-president Xi Guang attended The Fifth China-Central and Eastern European Countries Education Policy Dialogue and the Fourth Meeting of China-CEEC Higher Education Institutions Consortium.

On September 29^th, 2017, XJTU Council Vice-chairman Prof. Wang Xiaoli and others were invited to attend The Ninth Korean-Chinese University Presidents Forum. Based on the theme of this forum — role of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Universities, Prof. Wang Xiaoli delivered a keynote speech entitled Collaboration for Innovation, Cooperation for win-win development ─ How XJTU Reflects and Explores. He said in the speech that XJTU will cultivate outstanding students to have an international perspective, innovation capability and entrepreneurship, as well as the awareness for serving the community based on the advantages of the From October 1^st to October 8^th, 2017, XJTU Council Chairman Zhang Maizengvisited University of Oxford, Cambridge University, University of Liverpool, Leiden University at Netherlands, SKEMA (School of Knowledge Economy and Management) of France, and University of Technology of Troyes. The delegation also paid a visit to the International Court of Justice and Service of Education and the Embassy of People's Republic of China in France.
