On the morning of August 21, 2017, a delegation from IBM visited XJTU. XJTU vice president Xi Guang met with Shen Liqin, the dean of China Academy of Wisdom Cities. The two parties had a deep discussion on future cooperation, including the cooperation forms, contents, the strategic cooperation agreement as well.

Ms. Shen is also the General Manager of the Global Industry Solutions Development and the director of International Software Development Center of IBM. Other members of the delegation were Deng Qin, the channel marketing director of IBM greater China region, Li Jinghui, from the University Cooperation Department, and Wei Bowen, from Xi'an Research Institute.
