On September 4, 2017, XJTU and the Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement at AECC headquarters, and held the first meeting of the XJTU-AECC Strategic Cooperation Committee, opening a new chapter for comprehensive strategic cooperation.

According to the agreement, XJTU will launch strategic cooperations with AECC and its subsidiaries in personnel training, high-level talent exchange, research cooperation, platform construction, etc. XJTU and AECC intend to forge a new path for independent innovation from basic research to key technological breakthroughs and product development so as to improve the scientific, technological and industrial level for national defense in China.
