On the afternoon of September 8, 2017, a delegation led by Wang Tao, President of the Research and Development of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., visited XJTU. The two parties held a discussion about the construction of the “Smart XJTU” for exploring a new mode of university-enterprise cooperation. XJTU Council Chairman Zhang Maizeng, President Wang Shuguo, and Vice President Zheng Qinghua had a cordial and friendly talk with Huawei delegation.

The groups will jointly build an ecological chain for the Wisdom Town covering platform construction, management operation and maintenance, intelligent service and other functions in the Western China Science & Technology Innovation Harbour. By utilizing the policy advantages of the universities and the resource advantages of the enterprises, XJTU and Huawei plan to promote the “intellectualization” of the Innovation Harbour, and provide support for the transformation and realization of production-study-research cooperation, thus achieving a new mode of university-enterprise cooperation and talents cultivation.
