On June 24，2017，XJTU held its Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony atSiyuanStudent Activity Center. This year, XJTU graduated 3211 undergraduates,with 1703 studying further at postgraduate programs in universities in China, and 426 going overseas to study further for a Master’s degree. It also graduated 2936 students with a Master’s degree and 389 students with a PhD.

In his congratulatory speech, President Wang Shuguo expressed his heartfelt thanks to the students for their contributions to XJTU and hoped that they forget not to “be a person with beliefs and faith, staying true to the heart, and always having China and the world in mind". President Wang also expressed his expectations that all graduates can take self-examination as a key in hand, constantly checking against their actions and pursuit in relation of their dream and mission of their entire life.
