In the 16^th China University Robot Competition (Robocon) from June 7th to June 11^th, Xi'an Jiaotong University's team rose above the competition and took third place among the participating teams from 83 universities. A designation of “Technical Excellence” was also awarded to the XJTU team.

As a top event in the field of robotics contest for university students in China, Robocon is an important platform for showcasing the abilities of university students on robot design and construction, while testing their high-tech application levels. This competition further stimulates the interest of university students in science and technology, and improves their abilities to innovate and to put theories into practice so as to cultivate more scientific and technological talents for the future.
