On the afternoon of June 7, President Dianne Harrison of California State University, Northridge (CSUN), visited Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). California State University, Northridge, founded in 1958, is one of the leading universities in the United States.

　　President Dianne Harrison of CSUN expressed her honor to visit XJTU. She pointed out that CSUN is willing to join in the internationalization strategy of XJTU. Based on the existing teacher exchange programs, CSUN will promote other programs in a full range on student exchanges, scientific research, academic visits and other aspects for achieving substantive cooperation with XJTU. This visit coincided with California Governor Jerry Brown’s visit to China, which provides more opportunities for deepening the cooperation between the two universities in the fields of higher education, academic research, scientific and technological cooperation, cultural exchanges, etc.

　　After the meeting, XJTU President Wang Shuguo and CSUN President Dianne Harrison signed the "Memorandum of Understanding for 3+2 Joint Training Program Between XJTU and CSUN."According to the agreement, 3+2 joint training programs will be established in various disciplines of the two universities.
