On April 27th Afternoon, President Barney Glover and Vice President Denise Kirkpatrick visited XJTU, during his visit discussed with President Wang Shuguo, with VicePresideng Xi Guang, Director Liang Li of International Cooperation and Exchange, President Chen Xiangjing of School of Foreign Studies accompanying.

President Barney Glover introduced Western Sydney University, including the university mission, development status, and future planning, and he also expressed his bless to the 120th anniversary celebrations of XJTU. President Wang Shuguo introduced XJTU’s discipline building, teaching and research, faculty building, etc. , and emphatically introduced the future prospect of Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor and the University Alliance of Silk Road. He emphasized that the two universities should collaborate more in teaching and research, student education and faculty development.

President Wang Shuguo and President Barney Glover renewed the Memorandum of Understanding between Xi’an Jiaotong University and Western Sydney University during the meeting. President Barney Glover visited the Western Relocation Museum and had a forum with faculty and students of School of Foreign Studies after the meeting.
