On October 16 morning, the 2015 XJTU International Students Opening Ceremony was graciously held at Room 101, Science Hall. VP Xi Guang, persons in charge from School of International Education, Graduate School, Department of Undergraduate Education, School of Management, School of Electrical Engineering, Health Science Center, School of Energy and Power, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Aerospace, and School of Electronic and Information Engineering etc and all international students attended the ceremony.

XJTU vows to educate exceptional international students as well as friendly ambassadors to foreign and Chinese ties so as to contribute to the soft power building campaign of China.

In 2015, XJTU enrolls nearly 500 students from 67 countries, including Russia, Pakistan, United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Tanzania and South Korea etc. 284 out of those are master and PhD students, accounting for 60% of the total students. The number is doubled in 2015.
