Li Pengfei’s research team at the Frontier Institute for Science and Technology has long engaged in developing new, high-efficient and green organic boric acid and boric acid derivatives. By employing the carbon-hydrogen and carbon halogen bond activation, the team synthesized different types of ary-based boron compound and succeeded in applying the compound in boron-selective reactions.

The team has made a systematic classification and summary of the chemical reaction and selected the most typical cases to introduce in details the discovery, evolution and application of the reaction in complex organic thesis. In addition, the team summarized the existing gaps and future trend of the field.

The overview was published in the prestigious chemistry journal Chemical Society Reviews (the impact factor is 33.683 in 2015) online in September 22, 2015. XJTU is the sole author of the paper.
