Ever since April, the central Chinese media has conducted the sixth national model educators recommendation campaign. Through recommendations from different provinces, media presentations, public voting, and selection of screening committee, 10 model educators are recommended nationwide including XJTU professor He Yalin.

A short bio of professor He Yalin: Professor He is born in September 1963. She is a CPC member, and a professor at School of Energy and Power Engineering. She has long committed herself to education with outstanding accomplishments. She has also been recognized as the model teacher among students. She independently supervised over 100 master and doctoral students. And one student received the best 100 doctoral paper award nationwide. In addition, she attaches great importance to team building. She devotes to fostering youth faculty and students. Her team was noted as one of the first batch of outstanding teaching teams in China. She worked as the chief scientist of the 973 research program, having fulfilled a number of research projects and contributed to the economic and social development. She is also reputed as the national model teacher, the national outstanding teacher, and the recipient of first prize of the national teaching accomplishments.
