On July 25, the Silk Road Youth Leadership Program was initiated at XJTU. The program was jointly launched by XJTU, Peking University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. 50 students from three universities set off from Xi’an to embark upon an exciting journey.

The participating students would leave from Xi’an and reach Ningxia following the routes of the ancient Silk Road. In the next year, the students will either visit or work at Kyrgyzstan and Turkey etc during summer or winter breaks. The program is to educate the youth leaders with international visions for western China, HK and the country as a whole.
