On July 21, the Pakistan Ambassador to China Masood Khalid visited XJTU. Chairman Zhang Maizeng of XJTU CPC Committee met the ambassador.

Chairman Zhang mentioned XJTU initiated the University Alliance of the New Silk Road (UANSR), which has created a new platform for broad collaboration between universities along the ancient Silk Road. Thanks to UANSR, both Pakistani and Chinese universities will have wider areas of collaboration by accessing to premium educational resources.

Ambassador Khalid expressed that the two countries could engage in solid cooperation in areas of sports, research, and science and technology etc and extended an invitation to Chairman Zhang to visit Pakistan for further discussions.
