On May 25th, a delegation led by President Vanchai Sirichana of Mae Fah Luang University visited Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Among the delegates, there were Vice President and Dean of the School of Medicine. XJTU President Wang Shuguo and Vice President Yan Hong hosted the guests in Science Hall 107 for a formal meeting. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed for potential collaboration. The two sides agree to join hands for promoting medical service cooperation under the framework of the “University Alliance of New Silk Road.”

After the formal meeting, Vice President Yan Hong chaired a seminar on cooperation in medicine. Professors from both sides exchanged their ideas on the similarities and differences of medical education in China and Thailand, and explored fields for practical cooperation as well. The seminar was followed by a warm reception by Shi Bingyin, Dean of XJTU No. 1 Affiliated Hospital during a hospital visit.
