The Northwest event of RoboMasters 2015 was held in Siyuan Student Activity Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) on May 23rd and 24th. 13 teams from Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang and Henan provinces gathered for a top-level competition.

RoboMaster 2015 is a national-level competition co-sponsored by the Higher Education Department of the Central Communist Youth League and the Secretariat of All China Students' Federation. XJTU got both the winner and the third place with the excellent performance of its two teams. The two teams will show up in finals in Shenzhen.

As the first nationwide robot competition known for fierce rivalry, RoboMasters caught the eyes of numerous higher institutions, high-tech enterprises and science fans by its overpowering and fierce style. During the competition, participants strive to make advanced robots by applying theories into practice. They could obtain precious practical skills and learn to think strategically. This year the event gathered 240 teams, among which 157 stood out for regional competitions respectively held in Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Wuhan, Chengdu and Xi'an from end May to early June. 32 teams are expected to meet in the Shenzhen final in July.
