In the afternoon on March 27, Director-General Marco Buti and Director Moreno Bertoldi with Economic and Financial Affairs of Council of Europe, Head of Economic and Financial Department of delegation of European Union to China and First-Class Counsellor Annika Melander visited XJTU. President Wang Shuguo met with them in Room 201 of the Science Hall.

President Wang extended warm welcome to their arrival and pointed out that XJTU is both a key university in China and a member of the C9 League. In response to the central government's emphasis on the development of Chinese universities.

After hearing cooperation advices from various schools, Marco Buti indicated that Economic and Financial Affairs of Council of Europe is willing to enhance the contact and cooperation in related disciplines with XJTU so as to improve mutual understanding and development.
