On November 22, the fifth "Award Ceremony for Excellent National University Social Science Journal" was held in Guangzhou.

Modern Economic Science, sponsored by Xi'an Jiaotong University was awarded again as a "Famous University Social Science Journal".

Guided by the Department of Social Science, Ministry of Education, the event selected 31 university journals out of 2000 as "Famous University Social Science Journal" based on the principles of justice, fairness and openness, with such factors as academic level, social influence and influential factors as well as citation ratio into overall consideration. This is the second time that Modern Economic Science was awarded after its first-time award in 2010, the highest honor for university social science journals.
