The Biological Immunology Treatment Center (BITC) of XJTU No. 1 Affiliated Hospital was founded and the plaque unveiling ceremony was held on the morning of Nov. 20th. The attendees were as follows: XJTU Vice President Yan Hong, Deputy Director Huang Lixun of Shaanxi Health and Family Planning Commission (SHFPC), Director Zhang Yili of the Department of Medical Treatment Policy, Party Sectary Geng Jianping of XJTU No.1 Affiliated Hospital, Associate Dean Liu Qingguang and Liu Chang, Dean Assistant Zou Yuliang and Ma Xiancang, and hundreds of phymatology experts in Shaanxi Province. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Zhang Mei, Director of BITC and hematology Department.

Party Secretary Geng addressed the ceremony. As the first BITC recognized by SHFPC, Geng hoped that the center would upgrade the medical treatment and promote the development of biological immunology in Northwest China. Meanwhile it would also benefit tumor patients in Shaanxi and its neighborhood. He encouraged young doctors to be innovative in developing new medical technology for the service refinement for both the hospital and patients. Vice PresidentYan, Deputy Director Huang, Associate Dean Lian Bin of Shanghai Eastern Herpetology Hospital and Liang Yingmin of the 4th Military Medical University sent their congratulations on the founding of BITC.

A report session on biological immunology was held after the ceremony. Series of wonderful speeches focused on the clinical application and research of immunological cells were delivered. The attendees were quite interested in the procedures for conducting biological immunology treatment and its curing effects. The suggestions for further developing biological immunology were summarized based on a hot discussion.
