On the evening of November 19, XJTU original drama "The Choice" was put on stage in Xianzi Hall and achieved a complete success. The actors of the drama were members of the Student Drama Troupe of XJTU. The drama told the story of a XJTU student Lin Fan, who made a hard decision among love, responsibility and dream and finally volunteered for supporting the education in Tibet with his beloved Li Kexin, though in different ways.

When irreconcilable contradiction arises among love, responsibility and dreams, what will you choose? "The Choice" reflected the struggling thought of a student in XJTU born in a financially-needed family who was going to graduate in the contradiction among love, responsibility and dreams. The drama exhibited true sentiment and it was very moving. The drama was produced by the Student Drama Troupe for celebrating the 110th anniversary of the establishment of XJTU. In 2013, it got the first prize and best organization prize on the University Student Drama Festival of Shaanxi Province and it was nominated by all the single prizes. It was a classic drama that you could not miss.

It was worthy to be mentioned that the male leading role Lin Fan was performed by freshman Li Hao from Wenzhi College. His performance was wonderful though it's his first show on stage. The actors cooperated closely and their vivid performance let the spectators deeply enchanted by the artistic charm of the drama and they acclaimed one after another.

Although "The Choice" was the works of three students Zhou Jianzhong, Li Xiaoou and Xiao Yang in 2006, it shows great practical significance. The director of the drama Wu Ying expressed, "I hope that the works can rouse lofty pursuit and pure ideal at the bottom of students. That is, it can transmit a kind of positive energy in terms of vogue words".

The guiding teacher Wei Wei introduced, the drama performed publicly this time is an upgraded version that is modified, plots-added and integrated into the drama "Loving Peach Blossom Source in One's Heart". Its content is closer to life and it can cause the emotional resonance of students.

It was known that the biggest difficult problems faced by the public performance were roles selection and short rehearsing. Although selecting freshman Lin Hao as the male leading role and the preparation time was short, all the members of the Student Drama Troupe were so brave that they challenged themselves, overcame difficulties and provided a splendid performance.

The Student Drama Troupe took "The Choice" to the contest "Shaanxi Breakout Room of the 6th Drama Olympic" and also "the First Campus Drama Art Festival of Shaanxi Province". The drama successfully entered the competition of the next round. It was performed publicly for three days on end in the small theatre of Shaanxi People's Art Theatre, for each single day three performances and all the tickets were sold out for every performance. The on-line voting for "The Choices" ranks first now. The complete version video of the drama will be uploaded on the Internet recently. More attention and support are welcomed.
