The awarding meeting of He Liang and He Li Fund in 2014 was held in Beijing. The Member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and the vice premier of the State Council Liu Yandong, the vice president of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress Chen Zhu and the vice president of CPPCC and the minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang attended the awarding meeting and awarded prizes to the awardees. He Li and He Liang Fund is a kind of public fund for awarding science and technology founded by 0.4 billion Hong Kong dollars donated by the patriotic financial industrialists in Hong Kong He Shanheng, Liangjinqiuju, He Tian and Li Guowei to award the scientists in the mainland of China. Since He Liang and He Li Fund was founded in 1994, its public credibility and authority have been strengthened increasingly. It has become the featured brand to stimulate the creativity of science and technology personnel and promote the innovation of science and technology and it is the important approach to boost the science and technology cooperation andcommon developmentbetween the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. He Liang and He Li Fund evaluated prizes once a year. The reward for "the Prize for Science and Technology Achievement" is one million Hong Kong Dollars. The reward for "the Prize for Science and Technology Progress" and "the Prize for Science and Technology Innovation" is 0.2 million Hong Kong Dollars respectively. "The Prize for Science and Technology Progress" has 17 prizes classified by thefields of disciplines and award them to the people who have acquired great inventions, discoveries and science and technology results.
