At the invitation of Professor Liu Jiankang of the School of Life Sciences, Professor Axel T. Brunger, a member of the American National Academy of Sciences, has been named honorary professor of XJTU.

The appointment ceremony, held in the lecture hall of the School of Life Sciences on the afternoon of June 12, was presided over by Dean Liu Jiankang. Ms. Liang Li, the Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, attended the ceremony and presented Professor Brunger with his appointment certificate and a school pin. Director Liang Li said in her speech that she hoped that the research team at Stanford University, led by Professor Brunger would continue to collaborate with XJTU’s School of Life Science. Professor Brunger said he appreciated the appointment and expressed his gratitude to XJTU.
