From May 21 to May 27, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dr. Valery Shpak and the Director of Yekaterinburg Electrical Physical Research Institute Dr. Sergey Shunailov visited the School of Electrical Engineering and discussed matters of common interest.

Professor Shpak is a world-famous expert in pulse power and Dr. Shunailov is a senior researcher at the electronic accelerator laboratory of the Electric Physical Research Institute. During their stay at XJTU, the visitors met with academician Qiu Aici, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, and Associate Dean Li Shengtao.

During their presentations, the two experts focused primarily on high power pulse technology and strong electromagnetic radiation applications. They also discussed high power electromagnetic radiation technology and its industrial applications.
