On May 3, famous Thai entrepreneur, philanthropist, author and chairman of the Anmeide foundation, Mr. Qiu Weigong, visited XJTU. He was accompanied by representatives of the Thailand Consulate in Xi'an, including the general consul, Mr. Pan Yingcai, the commercial consul, Ms. Chen Lile, and consul Tan Niya.

During his visit, Mr. Qiu Weigong delivered a lecture entitled "How to Become a Successful and Responsible Man" to the students of XJTU in the main auditorium of the Science Hall. Mr. Qiu Weigong divided his topic into three parts: how to succeed, how to become a good man and how to give back to society. Following his talk, he answered questions from the students in attendance. Earlier, Mr. Qiu had also met with students from the School of Management.
