Xiamen Free Trade Zone

The Xiamen Free Trade Zone (厦门自贸区) is located in the northwest part of Xiamen, within the area of Dongdu port. Near No 319 national road and Yingxia railway, it is connected with Gaoqi International Airport. On Oct 15, 1992, the State Council approved establishment of the Xiamen FTZ with an area of five square kilometers; the first phase covers 0.63 square kilometers and was put into operation on Nov 28, 1993. The zone has fully perfected infrastructure. Its Administrative Committee and Customs office run the FTZ according to state laws and regulations and perform their duties in accordance with international practices. The zone provides excellent and efficient service for its enterprises.
Those enterprises can freely choose business bonded warehouses, logistics distribution, export processing and service trading. Presently, the FTZ has formed three characteristic logistics bases for delivering mechanical and electronic products, distributing import and export products and international container transportation. It is the most modern international logistics zone in the southeast part of China.
The Xiamen FTZ will focus on developing modern logistics, bonded warehousing, and high-technology processing to attract international trade and develop the status of a world famous FTZ.
