The World Internet Conference Global Elite Training, the inaugural comprehensive international training program on capacity building of the World Internet Conference Digital Academy (WICDA), concluded in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 23. 

Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the WIC and president of the WICDA, and Zhang Caifang, director of the Cyberspace Administration of Zhejiang Province, both addressed the closing ceremony.

During the event, training participants delivered presentations on such topics as digital transformation in developing countries, digital economy and trade, network data and cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. They also shared their insights into and achievements gained throughout the program.

The three-day program featured lectures given by renowned experts from international organizations, leading universities, and top internet enterprises. It brought together 40 senior management personnel of government departments, social organizations, and enterprises from across 32 developing countries, fostering exchanges on global digital transformation experiences and enhancing leadership capabilities in the digital era.

During the training, participants also explored real-world applications of digital technologies across various sectors in China, including observing the diverse applications of drone technology and training requirements, learning how advanced computing empowers the biomedical industry, experiencing autonomous driving innovations, and appreciating China's rich cultural heritage and smart rural vitalization.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
