This year's World Internet Conference•Internet Development Forum is set to open on Nov 23 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province, the permanent venue for the event.
Welcome to Wuzhen
Wuzhen, an ancient and charming town, exemplifes historic water towns lying to south of the Yangtze River. The town was established more than 1,300 years ago, and the civilization in this region can be dated back to over 7,000 years ago.
Transportation
Located in the northern part of Zhejiang province, Wuzhen boasts convenient transportation networks. The expressway connects it to Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou, which are 120 kilometers, 80 km, and 89 km away respectively. If visitors arrive at the airports in Beijing, Shanghai or Hangzhou through international flights, they can choose a domestic flight, railways or buses to get to Wuzhen.
Weather and dressing tips
Wuzhen is located in the subtropical zone, with a humid monsoon climate and four distinctive seasons. During World Internet Conference•Internet Development Forum, the maximum temperature is about 16 C and the lowest is about 8 C. The weather is pleasant, with slight humidity and relatively cool. It would be more comfortable if visitors walk in low-heel shoes or flat shoes on the stone roads in this ancient town.
Medical service
The Organizing Committee has set up several medical service stations where emergency medical service is provided. Most hotels and other lodging facilities are in close contact with nearby hospitals, so that medical service can be provided in a timely manner when necessary. Hotel staff can help or guide visitors to the emergency medical service centers or hospitals.
You can buy over-the-counter (OTC) medicines at pharmacies in Wuzhen. The prescription issued by doctor should be presented if you buy prescription medicine. The business hours of most pharmacies in Wuzhen are from 9:00 to 21:00. There are also 24-hour pharmacies, such as Hengyitang Pharmacy.

It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
