Forty international students of Tianjin Foreign Studies University recently visited Yangliuqing Ancient Town in Tianjin's Xiqing district to embark on a journey along the Haihe River and discover the traditions and heritage of the district.
In Yangliuqing Ancient Town, the students went to Yangliuqing Folk Culture Museum, where, guided by docents, they experienced the rich folk traditions of the Yangliuqing region, including customs related to Chinese New Year, weddings and longevity celebrations.
The students, who come from countries such as France, Japan, South Korea, Venezuela, and Armenia, showed great enthusiasm for the traditional handicrafts displayed in the museum.
This event not only introduced the students to the folk culture and unique charm of Xiqing, but also enriched their extracurricular lives and fostered love for Chinese culture.
