During the May Day holiday, from May 1 to 5, over 2 million tourists visited Tianjin's Xiqing district, bringing in revenue of 176 million yuan ($24.39 million).
During the five-day holiday, Yangliuqing Ancient Town, in Xiqing district, held nearly 50 activities, including opera performances, gourmet markets, live storytelling of New Year paintings and intangible cultural heritage classes in its major scenic spots, presenting a cultural feast that combined aesthetics, experiences and interactions for the general public.

In addition, the 13 camping sites in Xiqing organized themed activities such as fruit-picking camp, barbecue camp and parent-children camp, attracting a large number of tourists to participate in.

Meanwhile, music festivals, puppet theater performances and shopping events also provided locals and visitors with more leisure choices, making Xiqing a popular tourism destination for people in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
