Elderly care is one of the biggest concerns of local residents. Focusing on meeting the needs of the elderly, Xiqing district has devoted itself to building a "15-minute elderly service system", and constantly promotes the elderly service capability of communities.

Xiqing has promoted the construction of an elderly service network, developed an elderly population distribution map and elderly care service facility map of the whole district, and divided Xiqing district into 90 areas according to population density, personnel distribution and other factors, so as to build a 15-minute service system and efficiently arrange elderly care service facilities.
The smart elderly care service center in Xiqing has been built to enable the use of big data to monitor the status of elderly care services in real time, and to realize the integration of elderly care service resources and home service supervision. There are 11 integrated service centers for the elderly across several communities, which have guaranteed the operation of elderly care service facilities, such as dining halls, health stations, housekeeping services, and entertainment. Sixty-three embedded day care centers for the elderly have been built to provide "six assistance" services, covering catering, medical care, cleaning, bathing, emergency and entertainment for the elderly at home.
Additionally, by supporting the elderly day care center and catering aid institutions to open elderly canteens, Xiqing district has optimized meal supply links so as to meet the diversified dining needs of the elderly. It has also formulated a number of food aid policies to benefit residents, and raised the financial subsidy standard of the elderly with difficulties.
