In recent years, taking the development of the Xiaozhan rice industry as an opportunity, Xiqing district has made great efforts to give play to the advantages of scientific research and technological innovation. It has actively created a whole industry chain operation mode of Xiaozhan rice with unified seed supply, planting, agricultural materials, collection and storage, publicity, and multi-channel marketing. It has opened up a new path for rural revitalization with agricultural mechanization, standardization, intelligence, and industrialization.

Xiqing has built the high-quality grain brand of Xianzhao rice. The national japonica rice engineering technology research center, with its international leading comprehensive strength in the field of hybrid japonica rice, has built a 13,340 square-meter seed breeding base for Xiaozhan rice in Wangwenzhuang town, a 550 square-meter resource base for Xiaozhan rice, and a 3,000 mu core breeding and seed production base, ensuring the competitiveness of the breeding sector of the Xiaozhan rice industry, as well as the safety and stability of the seed supply sector. The rice variety of Tianlongyou 619 has already become the "Jin" signboard of high-quality Xiaozhan rice.
The local government has also promoted the technology development so as to realize the intelligence and mechanization of modern agriculture in the region. In May 2018, the Tianjin MAP technical service center of Sinochem Agriculture Holdings signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiqing district on promoting the "revitalization of Xiaozhan rice", and established a 60 mu standardization demonstration base for the rice industry chain. The base service center is equipped with a digital agriculture platform to realize farm management, the remote sensing analysis of crop growth, accurate weather prediction, precise planting and intelligent field patrol management.

Moreover, Xiqing has also expanded its online and offline sales channels. Sinochem Agriculture Holdings has cooperated with the COFCO, Hema Xiansheng, Longmijia, Sinochem Oil Co., Ltd. and other enterprises to launch a number of joint brands with Xiaozhan rice. The products have been sold in nearly 4,000 supermarkets, achieving an annual sales volume of Xiaozhan rice of nearly 10,000 tons. Customers can get detailed information on the whole process of planting, storing, logistics and sales of Xiaozhan rice, as well as other indicators, such as the chemical fertilizers and pesticides used, and the carbon emissions involved, which shows the high quality of the products.
While improving the reputation of Xiaozhan rice in Xiqing, the government has also increased the added value of the rice industry, building an agricultural park with an area of 1,300 mu, which supports the industrial upgrading and rural revitalization.
