Tianjin will pursue a new development pattern, apply a new vision of development, deepen reform, management and service, and create a market-oriented legalized international business environment, according to the 10th plenary session of the 11th CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee held on Dec 30-31.
The municipality intends to boost the business environment and upgrade consumption habits to facilitate high-quality development during the14th Five-Year Plan and start building a modern socialist city.
In 2020, the coastal metropolis issued a series of documents and standards focused on its business environment's long-term development. Now, enterprises and market entities can enjoy favorable policies and measures without filing an application, effectively solving the problem that enterprises did not know how to enjoy policy dividends.
“We will improve systems and mechanisms for stimulating consumer spending and leverage the role of consumption in promoting economic growth. By taking advantage of the RCEP, the largest free trade area in the world, the port city will accelerate to implement a dual-circulation development pattern and build an international and regional consumption center,” said Zhang Aiguo, head of the Tianjin Commission of Commerce.
“Xiqing is striving to achieve consumption upgrades,” said Bai Fengxiang, head of the city’s Xiqing district. “On the one hand, the district will focus on attracting young talents through investment in industries, educational development and carrier construction; on the other hand, it will further promote sectors such as food, housing, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment."
“As a large state-owned bank, we will further support Tianjin’s transformation and upgrading, fulfill social responsibilities and highlight the functions of financial institutions in serving the people’s livelihoods,” said Yang Li, deputy president of the Tianjin branch of Bank of Communications. “We will increase support to Tianjin’s upcoming key projects, serve regional development and help to ensure social security, the development of universities and the security of impoverished groups."
