The Wuqing Movie Theater covers an area of 19,092.2 square meters, with a building area of 34,856.16 square meters. It is located at the southwest corner of Wuqing Cultural Park, at the intersection of Quanfa Road and Zhenhua Road. The building has been recognized as a national quality project by the Ministry of Construction and has received the Haihe Cup Gold Award from the Tianjin Construction Industry Association.
The theater is divided into two parts: the cinema and the theater. The eastern half of the building is dedicated to the cinema, while the western half is for theatrical performances. The cinema section consists of eight screening rooms, including one VIP room, where movies are shown throughout the day. It has a seating capacity of 1,225, and over 20,000 film screenings have been conducted, attracting more than 600,000 viewers. The theater section features an audience hall designed with a streamlined construction, with curved corners and no right angles. It has a total of 1,371 seats for the audience. The theater stage is designed in a mirror-framed inverted "T" shape, consisting of a main stage, left and right stages, and a rear stage. Some of the theater's stage, lighting, sound, and other equipment meets international standards, while the rest is of top domestic quality. The theater is capable of hosting large-scale performances such as musicals, dramas, conferences, and various other events, both domestic and international.
