The 68th (2026) China National Pharmaceutical Machinery Exposition and the 2026 China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Exposition opened on Oct 27 at the Xiamen International Expo Center and runs until Oct 29.

More than 1,800 pharmaceutical equipment companies from nearly 30 countries and regions are gathering in Xiamen for a three-day showcase of technology and business exchange.

The event covers more than 230,000 square meters with over 13,000 booths, both record highs. It is widely seen as a key window into global trends in pharmaceutical equipment, with international brands and leading Chinese companies presenting cutting-edge technologies and smart solutions across the drug production cycle.

The expo features eight exhibition zones, covering active pharmaceutical ingredient equipment, formulation equipment and drug packaging, plus three special areas for engineering purification and validation, biopharmaceutical equipment, and smart manufacturing and digitalization.

A newly added smart manufacturing and digitalization zone is drawing particular attention, showcasing industrial robots and automated production lines, and highlighting a shift from standalone automation to fully coordinated production.

Many companies including Uhlmann, Mettler Toledo, and Staubli, chose the expo to launch their latest products. The international pavilion brings together nearly 250 overseas exhibitors, presenting advanced continuous manufacturing, biopharma and sterile production technologies, signaling that China's pharmaceutical industry is integrating more deeply into global supply chains.
