Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport achieved historic breakthroughs across multiple indicators in 2025. Over the past year, the airport handled a total of 198,600 flights, accommodated 29.19 million passengers, and processed 377,000 metric tons of cargo and mail. All three key metrics reached record highs.

The airport handled 4.2 million inbound and outbound passengers over the year, with international and regional transfer passengers exceeding 1.5 million – both figures reaching new highs. In terms of operational efficiency, the airport set a single-day record with 607 flight movements, and also achieved a remarkable feat of carrying 431 passengers on a single flight.

To become an efficient transfer hub along the southeast coast, Xiamen Airport has comprehensively optimized its transfer procedures. This includes reducing the minimum connecting time (MCT) for international-to-domestic flights from 120 minutes to 90 minutes, saving passengers valuable time.

Additionally, the airport has introduced an innovative cross-airline "hands-free transfer baggage" service. In collaboration with 25 airlines and 50 airports, it has created a seamless transfer experience for domestic routes at Terminal 4.

In 2025, Xiamen Airport further enhanced its digital capabilities, launching a "seamless customs clearance" initiative for outbound baggage. This integrated customs and security checks into a unified "two-in-one inspection" process, streamlining the travel experience for passengers.

In addition, the airport has established city terminals at Xiamen North Railway Station and Wutong Wharf, as well as in Zhangzhou, Longyan, and Quanzhou's Nan'an, offering services such as advance check-in, baggage drop-off, and dedicated shuttle transfers.
