Xiamen sees major service outsourcing achievements in Jan-Feb
In January and February, Xiamen enterprises signed service outsourcing contracts worth 146.4 billion yuan ($21.1 billion), a year-on-year increase of 9.7 percent, exceeding the national growth rate by 7.7 percentage points.
The executed amount was 51.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 46.3 percent, exceeding the national growth rate by 40.4 percentage points. The offshore service outsourcing contract amount was 70.1 billion yuan, with an executed amount of 32.7 billion yuan.
In terms of business structure, from January to February, Xiamen enterprises saw a year-on-year increase of 79.4 percent in the executed amount of offshore Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and a 45.6-percent increase in the executed amount of offshore Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
Xiamen enterprises saw a year-on-year increase of 82.2 percent in the executed amount of offshore service outsourcing from the United States, accounting for 76.9 percent of the city's total offshore service outsourcing executed amount.
Additionally, Xiamen enterprises saw a 75.7-percent year-on-year increase in the executed amount of offshore service outsourcing from member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), accounting for 13.6 percent of the city's total offshore service outsourcing executed amount.
The executed amount of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by foreign-invested enterprises accounted for 55.1 percent of the total in the city, representing a year-on-year growth of 56.4 percent.
