Xiamen launches 28 major provincial projects in Q2
Xiamen launched 28 major provincial-level projects for the second quarter of the year on June 7, which had a total investment of about 25.9 billion yuan ($4.05 billion), according to local news outlets.
The fields of the projects cover industries, infrastructure, social work, and people’s livelihood. The projects will be built in a high-quality and efficient manner, providing positive social effects and boasting strong growth potential.
As a representative project of Xiamen, the first phase of the Maluan Bay logistics functional zone had a total investment of 8.02 billion yuan. It is the fourth largest logistics park in the country.
Through multi-factor aggregation, regional coordination, and industry-city integration, the Maluan Bay project will make full use of the advantages of multimodal transportation to promote the construction of a national logistics hub and port in Xiamen, as well as to inject new vitality into the high-quality economic development of the city.
The manufacturing industry accounts for the majority of the listed projects, including the Taigenxin smart manufacturing base and the HARDA intelligent manufacturing project.
In addition to 28 major provincial-level projects, Xiamen will also start construction on 107 municipal-level projects, with a total investment of about 36.4 billion yuan, in the second quarter of the year.
