Gong Ming, Member of Party Leadership Group of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), held a meeting with Kudratkhodjaev, Deputy Prosecutor General of the General Prosecutor's Office and head of the Central Military Procuracy of Uzbekistan, in Beijing on July 25.
Gong welcomed the visit of Kudrathhojayev and conveyed to him the greetings of Ying Yong, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate(SPP).
He said that both China and Uzbekistan are ancient civilizations and the great Silk Road has borne witness to the friendly exchanges of the two peoples, adding that over the past 31 years of diplomatic relations, China-Uzbekistan relations have flourished.
Gong went on to say that judicial exchange and cooperation have played an important role in strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and as the bilateral relationship continues to deepen, the interaction and collaboration between their prosecution organs have grown increasingly robust.
Noting that there is a solid foundation and broader development prospects for the friendly cooperation between procuratorial organs in China and Uzbekistan, Gong said that the SPP is willing to work together with the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan to thoroughly implement important consensuses reached by the top leaders of the two countries, conduct all-tier communication over mutual legal assistance of criminal cases, extend the people-to-people exchanges and the training of procurators, deepen mutual trust and friendly cooperation between the two sides, provide high-quality judicial services to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and deliver tangible benefits to the people of the two countries.
Kudrathhojayev said that the Uzbek General Prosecutor's Office looks forward to judicial cooperation with the SPP in a pragmatic and efficient manner and to learning from Chinese experience as well as practices in procuratorial informationization and digitalization.
Those in attendance of the meeting included Zhang Jin, head of the Military Procuratorate of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and Uzbek Ambassador to China, Farhod Arziev.
