He added that in the report delivered by President Xi to the 20th CPC National Congress it is said in a special chapter that the country will exercise law-based governance on all fronts and advance the rule of law, emphasizing the "strengthening of legal supervision by procuratorial organs" and the "improvement of the public interest litigation system".

He said that Chinese procuratorial organs adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law as the guide, conscientiously implement the Opinions of the  Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Strengthening the Legal Supervision Work of Procuratorates in the New Era, and have fulfilled their functions in criminal, civil, administrative, and public interest litigation in accordance with the law.

Ying went on to say that they safeguard national security, social stability, and the well-being of the people, playing an important role in advancing the building of a socialist country under the rule of law, promoting the comprehensive rule of law, and serving the construction of a strong nation and national rejuvenation.

Ying said that judicial exchanges and cooperation are an integral component of China-Russia comprehensive strategic coordination and pragmatic cooperation and that the reason for the sustained high-level friendly collaboration between Chinese and Russian procuratorial organs is the adherence to the strategic guidance of the two heads of state.

He went on to say that the SPP is willing to work with the Russian Prosecutor General's Office in comprehensively acting on important consensuses reached between the two heads of state, deepen mutual trust and bilateral cooperation under the frameworks of the Prosecutors General Conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States and the Meeting of the BRICS Heads of Prosecution Services, strive to make fresh contributions to further consolidating the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era and deliver more outcomes to the two countries and their people.

Krasnov said that it is in the interests of Russia and China and the two peoples to build a comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era and that Russian procuratorial organs are willing to engage in regular exchanges with their Chinese counterparts, reinforce their pragmatic cooperation on fighting against cross-border crimes, safeguard social stability in border areas, protect the lawful rights and interests of enterprises and investors of the two countries, and bolster the education as well as training of procurators. They will learn more from each other and work together to uphold the interests of the two countries, the two societies and the two peoples, he added.

After the meeting, Ying and Krasnov signed a new cooperation deal between their respective procuratorial organs.

Those in attendance at the meeting also included Tong Jianming, first deputy procurator general of the SPP of the People's Republic of China, and Peter Gorodov, deputy prosecutor general of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
