
The Shanghai Customs Technical Center will establish a service station in the Changning area of the Hongqiao International Central Business District to enhance international trade, as revealed at a conference on Dec 10.
The station will utilize the center's inspection and testing strengths to serve firms in Hongqiao and the Yangtze River Delta region, supporting Hongqiao as a hub for enterprises' overseas expansion.
It is expected to simplify trade and investment and amplify the China International Import Expo's impact.
Qian Guohui, deputy director of the CBD's administrative committee, emphasized Hongqiao's ambition to become a high-level open hub for resource allocation, fostering a business-friendly environment.
The Shanghai Customs Technical Center, a key department under Shanghai Customs, provides inspection, testing, certification, and consulting services for imports and exports. It includes specialized centers for electromechanical products, food, and industrial goods testing, offering integrated services to reduce costs and support trade compliance.
