The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD) is quickly becoming a hub for international business services and corporate headquarters, thanks to its prime location, said Kong Fu'an, a key official from the CBD, during a recent meeting for public companies.
Over the past year, the CBD established 56 new municipal-level headquarters, emphasizing major industries such as solar energy, smart cars, and the digital economy, according to Kong, Party secretary and executive deputy director of the CBD's administrative committee.
Hongqiao, one of Shanghai's fastest-growing districts for company headquarters, now hosts 283 municipal-level headquarters, with numerous companies achieving impressive revenue milestones.
