During the fifth Shanghai Talent+ Summit, the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD) unveiled new initiatives to enhance talent services at a sideline forum focused on enhancing collaboration within the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region on Nov 26.

A major highlight was the launch of Hongqiao Haichuangwan, a new platform designed to support innovation and entrepreneurship for talents from overseas as well as in the YRD region, which includes Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.

Located in the CBD's East Hongqiao area, this platform offers a wealth of resources and government backing to help entrepreneurs realize their business ideas. It boasts facilities for industry incubation, public services, and startup offices, complemented by targeted policies designed to nurture young talent.

Additionally, Hongqiao introduced a comprehensive talent service package to aid YRD businesses in their international ventures. This includes services like global visa processing, overseas executive recruitment, and international payroll management, all aimed at strengthening Hongqiao's role as a hub for global talent.

During the forum, talent service centers from Shanghai, Suzhou in Jiangsu, Jiaxing in Zhejiang, and Hefei in Anhui jointly launched the YRD Cities Talent Platform Collaborative Service Initiative. This initiative focuses on policy innovation, service functionality, and platform synergy, aiming to create a seamless talent service ecosystem in the region.

Furthermore, a new venture capital alliance was formed, bringing together investment firms from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces to support innovation in key sectors like integrated circuits, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence.

The event featured keynote speeches and discussions on fostering a collaborative ecosystem for regional technology talent development across various fields and nurturing young talent in line with YRD integration. Leaders from talent departments, think tanks, universities, and businesses participated.
