The 4th China Health & Senior Care Conference was recently held in Hebei province and unveiled the "2025 Top 100 China Health and Senior Care Cities Ranking". Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, ranked 74th on the list with a health and senior care index of 75.5122.

The ranking is based on a comprehensive evaluation of cities at or above prefecture-level nationwide. It uses five primary indicators (ecological environment, medical environment, industry integration, public well-being, and health and senior care policies), 16 secondary indicators, and 32 tertiary indicators.

The data sources for the rankings included authoritative data from the National Bureau of Statistics, statistical communiques from various ministries, commissions, and local governments, as well as the China City Statistical Yearbook.

Taiyuan possesses exceptional natural advantages, with the Fenhe River crossing the city and mountains flanking it to the east and west, creating a unique ecological environment. The climate is characterized by distinct seasons, mild summers, and gentle winters. Air quality is continually improving, making the city fresh and pleasant for health and senior care.

The city boasts abundant medical resources, with a healthcare service that covers both urban and rural areas, providing residents with convenient, high-quality health services.

Taiyuan also has a profound cultural heritage, featuring historical sites like the Jinci Temple and Shuangta Temple set amid scenic landscapes, infusing healthcare and senior care with a strong humanistic spirit.

In recent years, Taiyuan has advanced its senior care industry by enhancing community senior care facilities and innovative smart senior care services, allowing the elderly to enjoy more diverse and thoughtful support.
